1) Before starting work, check the furnace body, furnace door, trailer, wire rope pulleys, and blower to ensure they are functioning properly and that there are no unsafe factors such as collapse, breakage, or cracks. If any are found, they should be properly addressed before starting the furnace. When using an electric furnace for annealing, carefully clean the oxide scale and metal from the resistance wire or its vicinity.
2) When starting the furnace, carefully check for explosives in the coal. During the ventilation shutdown process, the coal layer should not be piled too thick to prevent gas explosions. Remove coal slag promptly and do not allow it to accumulate.
3) Before loading and unloading, check the track for obstructions and ensure that hooks, chains, and other tools are reliable.
4) When loading and unloading large castings or thin-walled workpieces, ensure they are level and stable. Leave appropriate gaps between adjacent castings, and the loading height must not exceed the specified limits.
5) Before unloading, clean the refractory bricks and refractory mud from the furnace door and check that the trolley mechanism is functioning properly.
6) During unloading and handling, unauthorized personnel must not approach the sides of the flatcar to prevent injury from collapsing sand boxes or workpieces. Resting or piling items around the furnace is prohibited.
7) When the workpiece temperature exceeds 400℃, lifting with chains or wire ropes is prohibited (or heat insulation measures must be taken) to prevent breakage after annealing. When using a crane to lift workpieces, the safety operating procedures for crane and hook operators must be followed.
8) When using a gas furnace, the gas ignition sequence must be followed: first, purge the remaining gas in the furnace with compressed air, close the compressed air valve, ignite the ignition rod, slightly open the gas nozzle valve, and after ignition, adjust the compressed air and gas flow rate to ensure complete combustion. The sequence is reversed when shutting down the furnace; reversing the sequence is strictly prohibited.
9) When using an oil furnace for baking, the ignition sequence is: first, close the air damper, ignite the ignition rod, slightly open the oil valve, and after ignition, adjust the air valve and oil valve to ensure complete combustion. "Air-pressurized oil" is prohibited.
10) When using pulverized coal fuel furnaces, it is forbidden to start the furnace when the blower is malfunctioning or the pipes are cracked.
11) When repairing an electric furnace, the main switch must be turned off, a warning sign saying "Under maintenance, do not turn on" must be hung, or someone must be assigned to supervise the process.
