VALVE

Stainless Steel Valve Castings Manufacturer & Precision Machined Components Supplier

We manufacture stainless steel valve bodies, discs, stems, bonnets, and other custom valve components using silica sol investment casting and CNC machining. Our supply options include raw castings and machined components produced to customer drawings, material specifications, dimensional tolerances, and inspection requirements.
Designed for industrial fluid control applications, our valve castings can be manufactured in stainless steel and duplex stainless steel grades for specified pressure, temperature, and media conditions. Material selection, machining requirements, and inspection criteria are reviewed against the intended application and applicable product standards.

  • NEEDLE VALVE

Materials and Technical Specifications

Material Category

Casting Grade / Material Specification

Typical Application Considerations

Austenitic Stainless Steel

CF8; CF8M

General industrial fluid handling, water, and specified chemical services

Low-Carbon Stainless Steel Casting

CF3M

Applications requiring a low-carbon cast stainless steel grade, including specified welded assemblies

Duplex Stainless Steel

Duplex 2205; Super Duplex 2507

Specified chloride-bearing, marine, and offshore applications, subject to corrosion and mechanical requirements

CF8, CF8M, and CF3M are casting grades. Their relationship to wrought stainless steel grades such as 304, 316, and 316L is approximate rather than an automatic one-to-one equivalence. Where a particular material standard or grade is required, the purchase specification should identify the required casting grade and applicable material requirements.

Valve Casting

Manufacturing and Machining Capabilities

Silica Sol Shell Molding: Yields smooth surface finishes (Ra 3.2 to Ra 6.3 microns) and tight wall-thickness uniformity.

Heat Treatment: Solution annealing at 1050 degrees C to 1100 degrees C followed by rapid water quenching to restore maximum corrosion resistance and mechanical strength.

CNC Precision Machining: In-house 4-axis CNC machining centers, CNC lathes, and thread cutting machines process critical seal faces, valve seats, and flange grooves to exact drawing limits.

Quality Control and Inspection

Zero-leakage reliability requires strict verification at both raw casting and finished machining stages.

Spectrometer Heat Test -> Radiographic / NDT Inspection -> Dimensions via CMM -> 100% Hydrostatic Test

Chemical Analysis: Spectrometer heat code testing before ladle pouring.

Internal Defect Detection: Radiographic Testing (RT) and Dye Penetrant Testing (PT) to catch subsurface gas porosity and shrink cavities.

Dimensional Integrity: Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and optical profile projectors check critical sealing faces and mounting patterns.

Pressure Integrity: 100% hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing for fully machined valve body assemblies per API 598 or EN 12266-1 standards.

OEM Customization Process

01/

Drawing and DFM Review
Submit 2D engineering drawings and available 3D CAD files for review of casting feasibility, wall-thickness transitions, machining allowances, critical dimensions, and inspection requirements. Review turnaround is subject to project complexity and engineering availability.

02/

Tooling and Pattern Development
Tooling and wax-pattern arrangements are determined according to the component geometry, production volume, and confirmed manufacturing capabilities.

03/

Sample Production and Validation
Initial samples can be inspected against agreed dimensional, material, and surface requirements. CMM reports and material documentation are supplied when included in the project inspection plan.

04/

Production Approval
Batch production begins after the customer approves the sample or first article and confirms the applicable specifications, inspection plan, and order requirements.

FAQ

Q: What is the difference between silica sol investment casting and water glass investment casting?

A: Silica sol and water glass investment casting differ in process characteristics, achievable surface finish, dimensional capability, and cost. Silica sol investment casting is often selected for components requiring finer detail and tighter dimensional control. Actual results depend on alloy, part geometry, tooling, and process control. Comparative tolerances and surface finishes should be confirmed against the foundry's verified capability data.

Q: Can you supply fully machined valve components?

A: Yes, raw castings and machined components can be quoted according to the agreed manufacturing scope. Supply of finished, assembled, or pressure-tested valves should be confirmed separately because the testing requirements depend on the product and purchase specification.

Q: How do you verify the chemical composition of stainless steel castings?

A: Chemical composition can be checked by optical emission spectrometry against the specified casting material grade. Acceptance limits must follow the applicable material standard and purchase requirements. Material certificates and heat traceability records can be supplied when included in the agreed documentation package.

Q: What non-destructive testing options are available?

A: Depending on the component, material, geometry, and acceptance criteria, available inspection options may include liquid penetrant testing (PT) for surface-breaking discontinuities and radiographic testing (RT) for specified internal discontinuities. Other methods can be assessed according to the purchase specification and confirmed inspection capability.

Q: What information is needed for a quotation?

A: Please provide the following information where available:
2D drawings in PDF or DWG format and 3D CAD files in STEP or IGES format
Required casting material grade and applicable material standard
Component dimensions, critical tolerances, and surface-finish requirements
Machining, heat-treatment, and inspection requirements
Prototype quantity, production batch size, and estimated annual demand
Applicable pressure, temperature, media, and valve design requirements

Q: How are machined sealing faces protected during international shipping?

A: Packaging can include suitable corrosion-prevention coatings, protective caps or flange guards, individual separators, and moisture-resistant barrier materials. The final packing method is selected according to the component geometry, surface protection requirements, shipping method, and customer instructions.
