What is CF8M?
CF8M is the cast-grade equivalent of wrought 316 stainless steel. It contains molybdenum, which improves resistance to pitting and chloride corrosion compared to CF8 (cast 304). In investment casting, CF8M can be cast into complex geometries with good dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
